Our 95 Yamaha Wave Venture was ready to retire so we went looking for a new ride. After price/reliability reasearch we ended up with a 2003 Ultra D.I. The difference between the old and new is like driving a Torino (an old crummy mid-sized Ford)and a Porsche. The Ultra is truly a rocket and takes some getting used to. It comes across immediately as powerful and then fast. Initially we confused these aspects of the jet ski with being unstable. After a couple of hours, however, we caught on, and are having a blast.
You just need to be careful. It goes really fast (around 65) and will snap your head back on take off. The new steering system works and helps in the learning process. A passanger requires some extra attention, but that too is taken care of with a little practice.
Bottom line: A great pwc at a good price...
