I own a 700 and my buddy has a 450R with the HRC kit and I wax him every time by 5 to 8 bikes. I have a power commander, HMF full exhuast, and GYT-R air filter. The 700R is an awesome bike! All around great bike. The rider has a lot to do with who beats who. Very reliable Yamaha. Looking into the 07 SE now.
