I've had this bike a little over 3 weeks and have logged about 650 miles. I hadn't ridden in about 18 years and wanted a mid-size cruiser with a big-bike look...boy was I happy to see this one. I had looked hard at the Suzuki C50 and the Yamaha V-Star, but loved this one at first sight. After reading the great reviews, it was settled. I'm getting ready to have the 600 mile service, but am strugling to lay down $350 for little more than an oil change. I may decide to do the initial service myself.
Anyway, this bike looks awesome, handles great, and has more than enough power to push my fat butt past lagging cars without a bit of hesitation. I agree with almost everyone else who's reviewed this bike, it lacks a sixth gear (as do most all mid-size cruisers)and needs a better saddle. But this bike is VALUE PRICED. It outhandles the CT50 (my best friend owns one) and has an extra 100 cc's to boot....plus it looks better than the rest.
At 650 miles, I have no rattles, pings, pops or other unusual noises or ticks. Everything appears to have held up well. I've had none of the backfiring that others have posted about, but have heard that it usually happens after the first service. I will try to post again before I shelve her for the winter (probably at about 1500 miles) and can confirm/deny backfire.
Bottom line - great bike for the money.
Upgrades/Accessories: None yet, as aftermarket product for this bike is slow coming. I'm told that by 2007, that will change.
