I got the V-Star a few weeks back, and rode with my girl to San Diego and back over the Labor Day weekend. It handles well on slow turns, city driving as well as cruising at 70+ mph on the freeway. You don't feel short on power, although I'd suggest carefully adjusting the tire pressure to fit your load - I felt a little "slippage" when things got windy, although this could be due to the tread being broken in. This is the best mid-size cruiser out there and gets confused with bigger 1100cc bikes. The controls are comfortable, and you may have heard complaints about the seat. Hey... I rode 120 miles with 2 short stops, and was always comfortable. I've been riding for 10 years now, and this is a great ride.
