I started out thinking about buying a Harley-Davidson, but while visiting showrooms I saw the Vulcan 900 classic. After checking the reviews on this bike and seeing its good looks in person I decided to make the purchase. I AM GLAD I DID. This bike has great balance and is surprisingly easy to handle. I was unsure about the footboards, but absolutely love them. The heel toe shifter was also new to me. I adapted to that very quickly. This is my first bike in many years, and there was almost no transition shock. This bike also handles turbulance very well. I encountered very little shimmy even when passing 18 wheelers traveling in the opposite direction at 55-60 mph. The clutch is smooth and has a natural feel. I have received many compliments about the appearance of the bike...even from my Harley friends. This is more of a first impression review since I have only ridden the bike 200 miles...but so far I feel like I made the perfect choice.
