I have ridden motorcycles since 1969 and the Ninja 250R is an amazing bike. I haven't put too many miles on it, but so far it's a great bike. I started out with a Kawasaki dual purpose 125 37 years ago and I've loved Kawasakis ever since. It's hard to believe that you can get such performance out of a 250, but so far (still breaking it in, not exactly at 4000 rpms)it shows signs of being a solid performer. I can't wait to get it up into the higher rpm range. The looks are second to none as well. I bought the 2006 blue and it's a real head turner. My last bike was a Suzuki SV 1000 naked, and of course, the 250 can't compare to that monster's performance. I was looking for something not so intimidating, more affordable, with better mpg, and a little more "flickability". I am very happy with the 250. So far, compared to all the bikes I've owned in my 37 years of riding, this one is more fun than any (including my 1984 Honda 700 Nighthawk S, and the SV1000).
Upgrades/Accessories: None so far. Looking at K&N; air filter, Yoshimura Exhaust system, rear fender eliminator.
