I finally got some courage and told the old lady that I'm getting anew quad whether she liked it or not! After some research, I picked this one and love it. I do much of my riding in the mud and swampy woods, and only got stuck once. I pounded on the throttle and drive train pretty hard many times, almost getting stuck without a whimper from the belt or anything else. (By the way, anyone that accuses you of being a Yuppie because of the CVT as opposed to a conventional transmission is living in the 19th century with the rest of the gear heads in Darwin's technological waiting room.) The driveshaft enclosed rear disk brake and front differential are what made the difference between other quads in its class. The little toggle switch for going from two to four-wheel drive is much easier to use than other quads'. I was concerned about the power of the little 360 cc. motor but don't have any trouble riding with guys with more displacement. I turned it over on its side in a creek bed, couldn’t push it back over alone without help, and got some oil in the gas and gas in the oil. I changed the filter and oil, put in fresh gas, checked the battery and the smoke was gone - Lesson learned! Don't go out of town riding without the ability to change your oil. This quad is darned reliable so far. I can't wait to put the new ITP Mudlite XLs on it this week. I'm going from 1/2" tread to 1 3/8" tread, which will really make it shine, compared to the OEM tires. I hope I get a chance to pull my gear head buddy with the Kodiak out of the mud soon!
