No doubt there are many reviews out there about the Yamaha Majesty, and if you're like me, you'll read these reviews with some caution. However, having ridden a motorcycle and put over 15 thousand miles on it in just one year, when I say this scooter is everything that motorcycle was and then more--I don't mean that lightly.
As referenced earlier, my previous bike was a Kawasaki 750, and yes--I rode it everywhere.
Still when it was time for me to deploy overseas (military), my wife and I decided that it was best if we sell my bike and just purchase a new one upon my return home.
Well as you can tell from this review, I made it home. Anyways, the day finally came that I thought I was going to be able to purchase a motorcycle and resume my regularly scheduled life. That isn't exactly how it turned out.
While talking to the salesman about a Suzuki S50, I turned around and noticed my wife was looking at the Majesty. This surprised me, as we both took the Motorcycle Safety Class together and she had never mentioned buying her own motorcycle, much less showed any sort of excitement when she rode mine. So as luck would have it, I figured it was time to encourage her "excitement", bypass purchasing a motorcycle for me, and get her the Majesty.
So, now we've owned the Majesty for just over a week and a half, and truth be known, I've ridden it every day. This scooter is outstanding! Though it's no 750, the power generated by the 400cc just bends the law of reality. For those of you who know your geography, we live in the mountains in the northern part of the state. It was on these curved and steep mountain roads that it has become very apparent that the Majesty is very "capable of holding its own". Not to mention it handles well, is extremely attractive, has lots of storage, rides smooth, and has more effective driver "interface ability" then many motorcycles out there.
If I were in the same situation again, I would have bought a Majesty instead of the Kawasaki.
