I just started riding 4 months ago on a Ninja 250. It was a fun starter bike, but lacked power to ride on the interstate for extended periods.
I picked this bike up 4 days ago and wow what a difference. I LOVE the fuel injection. I can crank it up and not have to worry with the choke and stalling, ugh it's a dream. With the larger tires (120/70 front - 180/55 rear), I no longer have problems hitting road reflectors and grooves in the road causing nasty wobble.
It's fast...
1/4 mile: 11.30 sec. @ 119.42 mph
0-60 mph: 3.44 sec.
0-100 mph: 7.87 sec.
Fuel mileage (low/high/average): 32/44/38
I say fast, because I was riding a Ninja 250R, so this is really fast to me. There is some buzzy-ness that I notice if I ride at 65-75 mph, but from what I've read on the FZ6 forums, there is a 50/50 chance it will go away, if not then I just deal with it (don't ride in that range).
I almost bought the Suzuki SV650S and I'm glad I didn't, this thing is just so darn comfortable I can ride it for hours. The seat is a bit hard, but should break-in, so I've heard.
