I'm sure the 2005 is just as good as the "2002" model I own..
A Cardinal Red Triumph Bonneville America.
I've got 21,000 miles from the factory chain..lots of regular chain wax and adjusting when necessary. I LOVE THIS BIKE!!!
Every thing but chain maintenence that is.
I've not had a lick of trouble with this bike.
I had larger jets put in the carbs and Bubbs pipes put on and a modified air box to give me a boost in hp and top end..My bike sounds like the "old" Triumphs of my youth now....I'm currently running Avon "Venom's" for tires and after getting used to them am satisfied with them. My "Bonnie" has a wind screen, crash bars, front air damn/spoiler, chrome side covers, axle nut covers,..sissy bar and paint kit of American flags on tank with knee pads...tach in place of clock and highway lights....
I get compliments all the time from young and expecially the "old" Triumph riders...who now ride Harley's..all most everyone knows someone who rode a Triumph if it was not them.....and they like the looks of this Bonneville America...period.
Today I went on a poker run from Essex Iowa labor day celebration and at the end..all the bikes were lined up that wanted to be judged in a bike contest...My Bonnie got 2nd place in the crusier class competing against 45 Harley Davidsons...I being the only Triumph and not a seperate class for European bikes....I was so proud and goes to show...this is a nice looking bike
