It really does go that fast - Really!!

I live in a moderately-populated, 3rd-tier suburb of Mpls-St.Paul. It's a 10 mile commute to my office in Stllwater, MN through mostly farm country on 50-55 mph roads. After having a 850 Norton (in a former life), I figured it wouldn't be a bad idea (what with gas prices & all) to get back on two wheels again. I picked up the last of these from my local dealer after buying a 50cc Vino for my wife. It seems that the 125 Vino is not very available and all that are produced get snapped right up. I added a factory windshield to it and gained 5 mph and a TON of wind/bug protection. THAT decision was made after taking a rock in the chest that fell from a passing car/trailer combo who just couldn't accept being behind a SCOOTER! My wife & I keep a new Majesty in the garage for when we want to go out together or for when she wants to take her 250 Virago for an extended putt with me running interference for her, but the Vino is unmatched for just "jump on & go" trips. I added a Givi E30 Tour topcase & lightkit to the standard rack so that I get seen better from the rear. I believe that getting that screaming stoplight above bumper height makes a difference! It's very easy to "thread the needle" in traffic, but I will have to say that it's cramped for riding two-up. That cramped seat could work to your advantage if it's intimacy that you're after, though. There's only one company offering aftermarket accessories - Motorsport Scooters in San Diego. Their passenger butt rest is a real bargain. The larger seat is not really worth the $$. The Japanese-style rear signals are "cute". If you feel the need, you can put a "Bike-Bouy" cup holder on the cowl screw between your legs under the speedo. You'll be using a lot of paper towels to clean up the spills, though. 600 mi service was $75. One very cool, classy scooter!
