I switched from a modified BW'S(a.k.a Zuma) that had a 70cc engine and the usual stuff on a "boosted" scooter, noisy but terrible accelaration. My first impression at that time is how the Vino 125 is way more comfortable than the BW'S, there is absolutly no comparison there yet it's strange how both scooters look the same size. The other thing that hit me when i first rode it was how weak the 125 seems but like I said, I had a racing two stroke, it's not that bad. In fact it probably accelarates faster than any 50cc two stroke. So, it has average accelaration but the top speed of the Vino is reasonable, 80-85 kmh generally. With a face wind it still reaches 80 kmh but it's slow to get there, very slow. With a back wind it reaches 90 kmh fairly quickly. I even touched 100 kmh with a tornado like back wind once but that was scary, it's not a big vehicule afterall. -Fuel consumption is ridiculous unless you keep the throtle wide open all the time. I get roughly 130 km a fill and I'm not really putting any effort to improve that, pretty good compared to my BW'S. -Construction of the Vino is very good, more "beefy" than the BW'S. -The brakes are dramatically better, the Vino 125 stops, the BW'S slows down. -Handling is also far better, the Vino is smooth yet rigid enough to "slalom" around without bouncing everywhere like on the BW'S. It's cornering ability has surprised me(no, not like an R1). -Carrying a passenger does not affect it's performances as much as on the BW'S, it's still reaches 80kmh with me and one of my friends on it(185lbs + 145lbs!) where on the BW'S it felt like the thing had deflated tires. There is though few things disapointing about passengers on the Vino compared to the BW'S, the seat seems shorter which forces both people to be glued on one another, the footpegs for the passenger are really BADLY positioned and their size is so small that not having them would'nt change anything. -The looks are so different that it's hard to have an opinion on that, the Vino seems to attract people's attention more than the BW'S but maybe it's because the BW'S has become part of the "urban panorama", they're everywhere! -Overall, it's a comfortable, economical, reliable scooter with performances satisfying as long as you ride it on 50-70kmh streets, it's really really worth the price. If it had just a bit more guts, it would be close to perfect.
