I am not that experienced on watercraft. We bought a new 04 Sea Doo GTI/LE 85 horse 2 stroke over the 4th of July and loved it so we looked for another ski. I found an 05 Kaw 12f for $7500. I haven't heard of a kaw Jet Ski since the 70's when I was a kid. Found very little in the way of reviews but it seemed liked a good deal and they had great financing so we went with our gut and bought it. I based a lot on the reviews for 03/04 models and everything said there is true with my 05. For me it's very fast. The speedometer says 55-60 top speed. Plenty fast for me. Turns on a dime. It was scary at first. Very stable. Starts immediately. The nose tips down when going slow and I do get wet. Not a big problem but annoying. The seating is a bit wide and your legs are spread far apart if not positioned upward. Biggest complaint is the key. Sea doo has a great system, on my Kaw the key is under the glove box in a corner and hard to get to and I know I'm going to forget to turn it off one day and kill the battery. Fast, Sporty, Fun, Affordable and it looks great.
