Kawasaki was smart to make friends with Suzuki because this thing is a winner. It's probably the perfect all-around machine out there. It's not going to rip up an MX track like a YFZ450 or even a TRX450. And it's not going to out torque/power the big boys like the Raptor660, DS650 and even the Predator500. However, it will handle with any and all of them, and it's got no real competition in its price range when you look at it. It's superior in every way to the Honda 400ex, yet costs the same or even less in some cases. It does everything well, and when you get into the throttle you know you are on a real sport machine. In the woods it's light and quick and will run with anything out there. Even in the wide open the big bore quads don't really pull away all that much. The 400cc engine is scrappy and will shock people who think their Raptor660 is so much faster. My buddy on his Raptor660 was very upset when he didn't manage to pull away from me at all in the long straights. I'm also impressed with the stock Dunlop radials, they seem to really hook-up well. The ergonomics are spot-on. The quad feels stable and planted all the time, and the power is there at any speed in any gear. It just pulls from bottom to top with a sweet mid-range punch that will get you out of corners with the front wheels in the air. Funny thing is that the engine likes to rev, yet feels pretty solid and smooth just putting around the trails at low RPMs. It never seems to "load-up" as you might expect; it seems happy to oblige the casual ride as much as the fast rip around an MX style loop. I don't think you can lose out with this quad if you buy one. I'm 1000% pleased with my purchase.
Upgrades/Accessories: Totally stock except for Kawasaki shock cover and Meier hand gaurds.
