I love the Vino! This is my first scooter ever, but I've been riding big (1100 cc) bikes for years. I got this for commuting to work which is about 12 miles away. The scooter starts very easily and is very quiet. At first, it only went 28 mph but I went on the internet and found a site that showed how to "derestrict" the muffler to get about a 10 mph boost in speed. 38 mph is still a little slow so I just bought a new pipe that is supposed to make it go about 50 mph which is my goal for staying up with traffic. My milage has been a little over 80 mpg which is great. If you want to be popular, just ride your Vino around - everyone smiles at me and gives me the thumbs up and a little laugh - it's so cute! I was gonna go with the Honda Metropolitan but my knees hit the handlebars. Vino fits real nice. My only complaint is that the seat hurts my butt after a 12 mile ride. I don't know if it's because it's not soft or what - it seems soft and wide enough. Oh well, I think this is the best looking scooter out there and the ride is fine for such a little thing. Also, at only about 165 lbs, you can lift it up and put it in your van to take to the shore for the weekend. Nice job Yamaha.
