1600 MEAN STREAK

I was out of riding for about 20 some years, and got back in when I got a Honda VFR750 at a yard sale for a great price. After riding it for about 4 months, it became clear to me that the bike was plenty fast, but a bit uncomfortable for what kind of riding I wanted to be doing now... which was cruising. Went looking for a big cruiser, looked at the VTX, and a couple others, but for what the Mean Streak had to offer and it's price, it was no contest. I've had mine for a short while and I absolutely love this thing! Mine is black in color, and I get complements on the bike darn near every time I ride it! I've added Cobra pipes and a TFI fuel enricher. (Intake upgrade next...) The bike really has a nice sound to it now! Even my buddy Harley riders have said how good it sounds! If you want a 100% cruiser bike, this might not be the bike for you. Don't get me wrong, it will run 65mph at 3,000 RPM all day long, but without a windshield, floor boards, saddle bags, etc... there are other bikes that would be better suited for better comfort long distance riding. Yes, you can add all that to this bike, but I think they all distract from it's awesome looks. If you want a bike that has unique styling, great power, shaft drive and a really good price, then this bike is you. The only issues I have with the bike is that the handle bars could be set back about 2 inches more, but I will be getting some extentions to address that, and I wish the bike had a fuel gauge. This is the second Kawasaki I've owned. My first one served me well for years (with little care) and I have no doubt this one would be any different.
