I had a 1999 1500 Nomad that I put 165,000 kms on. It was the best bike I've had in 39 years of riding! The new 1600 seems to be keeping up the tradition. It hanldes a bit better and the extra power is right where it should be for touring. The seat is way better than the old Nomad but it still leaves a bit to be desired after a 500 mile day. Overall though...it is a great bike.
Upgrades/Accessories: Mustang seat needed for long hauls - short the stock is fine. Vance and Hines Bagger pipes for the sound. Hitchdoc trailer hitch (had to be modified but works fine now.
