As my first bike, I studied up on many cruisers and even some street bikes before picking the 2005 Vulcan 500 LTD. You cannot beat the performance for cost value of this outstanding scoot. Cruiser looks with street bike performance characteristics. Very quiet, which the neighbors appreciate. Wish it was a little louder sometimes, I hear more wind than engine. Seat could be better, but it's okay. Accessories are few, but sufficient. I'm getting about 58 MPG in mixed city/highway riding... and I like to accelerate. Great bike overall
