I must say, this bike will do everything to get you up and running in no time. The shocks are a bit soft, but overall okay. The performance is good; not earth shattering, but beginners don't need that kind of horsepower anyway. This engine loves to breathe so wind it out! 50 miles an hour in 6th gear is about 5 grand. It redlines at 13! Keep the revs up and this thing is plenty fast. My legs are slightly cramped 'cause of my height but it sure is nice being able to put a foot down if I get a little tipsy going through a crawl turn. If you want an on road bike to learn on, or are short, look no further. This bike is what you want. Plain and simple.
