Just a really good bike! Plenty of power, great handling at higher speeds, great rider protection, shaft drive, and about three grand less than its competition and an excellent factory warranty (36 months).
I did modify mine a little bit - the first thing to go was the stock grips, gel grips being the way to go. Easy change, just remove the bar end weights via an 6mm allen head screw hidden underneath the rubber end caps.
The other thing that bugged me was the stock windscreen, which was a little too tall to my liking, and also distorted vision a little. The fix? - Found a replacement and cut it with a dremel tool to a smaller size. Kept the stock one in case I ever decide to sell the bike (unlikely.)
The last thing I did to it was to install a NEP CC-3 throttle lock - takes a little doing but once installed works like a charm. Audiovox makes an electronic cruise, and throttlemeister makes a throttle lock as well, but be prepared to spend some $$$$ !!!
With these things done the bike just suits me to a "T". Great performance, fantastic group support (COG - Concours Owner's Group), just a great bike that has been around for a long time and justifiably so. Looking forward to some long trips with plenty of curves!
