Oscoda, MI - The Monster Energy Tour is headed to Oscoda, Michigan for the second event of the 2008 racing season. The event is a national and World Championship qualifying event that will take place on Lake Huron in front of the Mai Tiki Resort.
Competitors compete for cash, prizes and points toward the overall Monster Energy Midwest Watercross Tour Championship. The victors earn the right to compete in the APBA Watercross Nationals and the IJSBA World Finals. The tour will also make stops in Walled Lake, Mich., Harbor Beach, Mich. and Celina, Ohio.
Separated into two divisions, Ski and Runabout, each race can feature up to 18 riders. Each division is broken into 4 classes: Beginner, Novice, Expert and Pro-Am, as well as class distinction between women and men.
Saturday, June 14 and Sunday, June 15 will feature over 30 races from 10:00am to 5:00pm with practice beforehand beginning at 9:00am. There will also be a freestyle event on Saturday at 1:00pm. Riders are encouraged to participate.
