Dwyer, S2R Prove Formidable Team

Rachel Dwyer and her S2R prove a formidable team.
May 31, 2007

US - In her latest major long-distance riding feat since completing a Border to Border to Border (Canada to Mexico and back to Canada) run last September, Rachel Dwyer and her S2R 800 have once again proved the strength and resilience of the Monster whether for around town or cross-country adventures. A true Ducatista, Rachel began proving the point years ago on her M750 and, now with her S2R broken in with several endurance rides and over 49,000 miles on the odometer, she continues to prove that the Monster is a versatile motorcycle.

Starting on May 11th at 12:50am PST in Seattle, Washington and ending on May 13th at 1:58am PST in Annapolis, Maryland, Rachel rode hard for two days straight to complete her second 50CC Gold (coast to coast in under 50 hours with the "gold" designation being due to the length and difficulty of the route). Although she couldn’t match Gary Eagan’s record breaking time from San Francisco to New York, Rachel and her S2R are definitely not slouches when it comes to putting the miles on and riding hard.

Her planned route would take her on I-90 to Billings and I-94, then I-39, I-80, I-70 and finally I-76 in Maryland. In the end, Rachel's odometer showed 2966 total miles after 49 hours and 8 minutes.
