First Reno-Tahoe Sledfest

Reno, NV - Deep-snow powder hounds, hard-core trail riders and high-marking thrill seekers will all gather April 1-4 in Reno, Nevada, for the first ever Reno-Tahoe Sledfest.

The event could be the perfect way for snowmobilers to wrap up their season, visiting one of the most scenic and entertaining playgrounds in all of North America.

During the day, participants will ride in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains. Riding starts at about 6,000 feet in altitude, with play areas topping 10,000 feet. Riders may feel like they’ve climbed to the top of the world. Best yet, in the Sierra Nevadas, they count the snow in feet – and it usually stays until June.

Highmarking in this region is a common practice, but riders don’t have to be daredevils to enjoy this spectacular riding area. There are more than 300 miles of trails that weave throughout the area, providing unparalleled views of mountain peaks and the incredible Lake Tahoe – playground of the rich and famous!

Every night riders are invited back to Lake Tahoe for a night of fun that starts with receptions at the huge consumer expo. The expo will feature all of the latest and greatest products from the snowmobile industry. Arctic Cat and Ski-Doo will show off their 2005 model lineups. Other displayers include makers of aftermarket parts and accessories, national snowmobiling magazines, snowmobile clubs and organizations, touring companies and much more.

Also in Reno, the casinos await, as do national entertainment acts. Play the night away, then get ready to enjoy a mountain experience in a different nearby snowmobile riding area the next day. Bring your own sled, or fly out and rent from the many touring and sled rental operators in the area.
