Pickerington, OH - The Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum's Leather & Ice party and silent auction is just around the corner, and when November ends, so will your chance to donate a motorcycle or memorabilia to the auction.
The inaugural gala event is scheduled for Saturday, December 6, at 6 p.m. at the Museum. Proceeds from the silent auction benefit the Motorcycle Hall of Fame Museum.
Donations, of course, are fully tax-deductible, with every dollar they bring in for the Museum counting as a donation. Everyone who donates more than $500 receives a plaque in their name on display at the museum in the Founder's Hall.
So far, several interesting items have rolled in with more on the way. Some of the items already donated include beautifully framed motorcycle art and photography, riding school vouchers and one of a kind sports memorabilia.
The Museum just received its second generous bike donation from Stephen McGraw of Woodville, Texas. His mint 1983 Honda XR 500R (above) has fewer than 300 miles and will be up for bid, along with a 1970 BSA Bantam (below) donated earlier by Dario Scarabosio, from Sunny Valley, Oregon.
Everyone is welcome to attend an evening of food, holiday cheer, live music, and an opportunity to bid on an awesome list of motorcycling, and non-motorcycling, items.
Tickets for the event are $25 per person. Space is limited, so make reservations early. By phone (614) 856-2222, fax (614) 856-2221, or contact Susan Rutter at srutter@motorcyclemuseum.org
