World's Smallest Cycle

Sweden - Tom Wiberg, a 40-year-old Swede, has constructed what he says is the world's smallest motorcycle, weighing in at just 2.4 pounds and measuring 2.5 inches high and 4.5 inches long. He’s prboably right, his creation is in fact listed as the world's smallest motorcycle according to the Guinness World Records Web site.

Wiberg said he decided to build the little motorcycle in a bid to get into the Guinness Book of World Records for a second time. His previous record was for "Bigtoe", a 7.5-foot-high, 15.5-foot-long two-wheeler powered by a V12 Jaguar engine.

Running off of a small ethanol-powered combustion engine typically found in remote-controlled model airplanes, the new effort, "Smalltoe", has a top speed of 1.2 mph.

"I rode it for a distance of 11 meters (36 feet) earlier this year and would have continued if there hadn't been a container in the way," Wiberg told the Associated Press, adding that he had to stand on it with just one foot.

Wiberg received a Guinness World Records Certificate this summer.
