20th Anniversary Arenacross Season Sees Record Amateur Contingency Awards

More than $1.6 Million Offered for Pros and Amateurs at National and Regional Arenacross Series

Aurora, IL - Clear Channel Entertainment’s Motor Sports division announced the highest amount of contingency awards posted for amateur and pro riders for the National and Regional Arenacross Series.

The 2003- 2004 Arenacross season marks the 20th anniversary of the series and the american motorcycle industry has acknowledged that milestone with the largest contingency awards posted ever for amateur riders at National Arenacross events. The previous per-event total set last season was $37,935.00, but this year each National Arenacross event will offer $45,925.00 in posted contingency awards for amateur riders.

"We really have to thank the manufacturers and aftermarket companies who stepped up big time this year to help us celebrate our 20th anniversary," said vice president and series founder, Mike Kidd.

Despite a trimmed down schedule, total postings for the national and regional programs total $1,653.030.00 with awards coming from 15 industry leaders including top manufacturers and aftermarket companies.

Companies participating in the arenacross contingency program include Cagiva, Honda, Kawasaki, KTM, Maxxis, Pirelli, Pro X Pistons, Scott, Shoei, Suzuki, THOR, Twin Air, Wiseco, and Yamaha.
