Elkhart, WI - Kawasaki Road Racer Eric Bostrom took the checkered flag in Superbike at Road America in Elkhart, Wisconsin, making him the new points leader. Chosen by industry editors to win the 2003 Superbike championship, Bostrom proved his potential on Sunday with an incredible first place finish — more than 32 seconds ahead of the competition. Early in the race, Bostrom battled it out with another rider and swapped the lead five times, but by lap three he made a final pass on his Ninja® ZX-7R-based motorcycle and never looked back.
Kawasaki Road Racer Tommy Hayden took his first Supersport win of the year on his Ninja ZX-6RR motorcycle. Hayden had a slow start, but worked his way through the pack in the wet conditions. With only his brother left to pass, Hayden pulled away in lap nine to take the lead and the victory.
Kawasaki Road Racing plans to keep the momentum rolling at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, Minnesota, June 27-29.
