The race-inspired JET SKI® 1200 STX-R® watercraft returns to the lineup for 2004 with even more bragging rights — including its record for being undefeated in the International Jet Sports Boating Association's (IJSBA) Pro Runabout 1200 class. Once again, the STX-R carried Team Kawasaki to victory, garnering the national title in Pro Runabout 1200 in the 2003 IJSBA Motosurf Nationals.
Pro Runabout 1200 National Champion Dustin Farthing proved the STX-R's dominance on the water as he battled in high surf and rough water conditions to seize the crown. Kawasaki JET SKI watercraft racer Dustin Motzouris finished second in the nationals, just behind his teammate, as he raced to a podium finish aboard his 1200 STX-R.
The STX-R's stable hull design contributes to its winning ways, providing a smooth ride and precise cornering in race conditions. The race-inspired hull boasts high-performance, racing-type sponsons and a racing-style pump cover to provide "grip" for more aggressive turning and quicker planing. The hull is made of hand-laid fiberglass and gel-coated for a deep, lustrous, scratch-resistant finish. It also features the molded-in Kawasaki Splash Deflector (KSD) to help minimize spray on the rider.
