JET SKI® Ultra® 150, Kawasaki's fastest production personal watercraft, is returning to the lineup in 2003 following much success on both the racing circuit and among recreational riders seeking the most fun in a speedy watercraft. This year also marks the 30th anniversary of JET SKI watercraft.
The Ultra 150 watercraft, which has seized numerous victories all over the country in International Jet Sports Boating Association sanctioned races, will also feature Kawasaki Smart Steering™ on its list of standard features.
Kawasaki Smart Steering provides turning action even if the throttle is not applied. The advanced computerized system of the Ultra 150 detects the rider's steering input as well as the speed of operation and automatically increases engine speed to provide additional thrust. It also continuously monitors engine rpm to determine if the craft is being operated at a low or high speed. If the speed is low, the system does not operate. If the speed is high, the system will operate, even if the throttle has been released and the engine has returned to idle.
