The ST3 features the punchy 992 cc L-twin Desmo3 engine, a frame developed from those used in superbike racing, 43 millimeter upside down Showa forks with preload adjustment and a fully adjustable Sachs rear shock.
The chassis features three-spoke wheels and a high performance Brembo braking system, ensuring spirited performance and safety whatever the situation. Both rider and passenger enjoy a comfortable riding position: color-coordinated panniers (optional) make the ST3 just perfect – whatever your destination.
The instrument panel includes an analogue rev-counter and an on-board computer with liquid crystal display, which, in addition to standard info it keeps tabs on fuel consumption, range on remaining fuel, and more. And as an added convenience, headlight beam height adjustment is electronically controlled from the instrument panel.
For added security, all the bikes in the ST family feature an anti-theft immobilizer system, making it impossible to start the engine without the unique electronic ignition key. With the introduction of the 2006 range, Ducati Sporttouring motorcycles are now even more environmentally responsible, and comply with the strict Euro3 emissions standards.
