Rolling up alongside the Rocket III in 2006 is the new Rocket III Classic.

While the original model has won the hearts of the power-cruiser crowd the Rocket III Classic is aimed squarely at those who favor a more relaxed approach to riding.

Firmly focused on rider and passenger comfort, the Rocket III Classic comes with rider footboards, pull-back bars and a comfy stitched touring seat as standard. All subtle but significant touches that add to the bike’s already impressive long haul abilities.

The incredible levels of flexibility offered by the Rocket’s 2.3 liters, 147 lbs. ft. engine make for effortless riding whether two-up, fully-loaded with luggage, or solo. The sophisticated fuel-injection feeds in power seamlessly, with controlled acceleration on tap at the twist of a throttle, while maintenance-free shaft drive delivers forward motion to the rear rubber.

Good lock-to-lock movement, an incredibly light clutch and a low center of gravity make low speed maneuvering extremely easy, while the steering geometry and overall length give a securely planted feel. 43 mm upside down forks and twin rear shocks; twin disc front brakes with four-piston calipers and single disc rear and generous ground clearance complete the package, giving added composure and supple compliance.

Two luxurious, two-tone paint schemes, coach lined by hand; a deep-chromed cam cover that contrasts handsomely with the black-finished engine and cone muffler end caps add the final touches to what is already a distinctive and uniquely styled machine.
