RIVERSIDE was founded, and is still owned and managed daily, by two partners: Carlo Maugini-Hansen and Gerry Fabrizio. The shop was originally Kawasaki only, and was located near the Charles River on River St in Cambridge, Ma -hence the name RIVERSIDE.
Carlo and Gerry moved the business to the current premises at 2 Union Square in Somerville in 1981. The Ducati franchise was acquired in 1988; Yamaha, in 1991; and Triumph in 1995. RIVERSIDE began selling Jetski products when they were introduced in 1983; the SeaDoo franchise was acquired in 1988; Waverunners came with the Yamaha franchise in 1991. SkiDoo snowmobiles were added in 1987; Polaris in 1990.
RIVERSIDE is proud to have been Ichiban (Japanese for "Number 1") in its region with Kawasaki 11 times in its history. It is generally the sales leader in its market for whatever products it sells, which is a tribute to all the members of the RIVERSIDE team.
