It won't back down. It will, however, back up.

In addition to the massive torque of the 20-valve 998cc four-stroke that powers it, the rigid Deltabox® chassis which contains it and the sophisticated double-wishbone suspension that guides it, you'll find a bunch more of the sort of conveniences Yamaha is known for.
Electric starting is standard on all the four-strokes, and you get digital-controlled hand and thumb warmers (now with memory reset), an easy-pull throttle, the brightest lights on the snow thanks to a 425-watt magneto, and oh yeah, it's clean, quiet and fuel-efficient because it's a four-stroke.
When you go, you might as well go all the way.
