This year's top of the range Supersport makes a generational leap forward with a new 1000 cc engine.
The 1000 DS is a new 90° L-Twin power plant based on the best of our existing liquid- and air-cooled engines.
The design starts with a new big bore cylinder head and additional innovations extending to the very heart of the motor.
The design goal was clear: increase overall power, boost mid-range torque, mechanically simplify, lower engine temperatures, raise reliability and reduce weight.
The new 1000 cc engine has been matched with equally advanced suspension (fully adjustable) and potent brakes derived directly from the racetrack.
And to round off this incredible new Ducati, the overall weight of the bike has been reduced by shedding pounds from the engine, clutch, instrument panel, front sub-frame, exhaust system and front fork.
