Just bought a new 2002 RS 50. It is the rare GP-1 model. This thing looks like a true GP race bike and it is absolutely beautiful. Looking at it, no one would believe that it is only a 50cc. It is still breaking in so I have not opened it up yet. I have easily reached speeds well over 60 mph though. It has good power with a stock rating of 12 hp. With the performance parts it will double the hp and reach speeds over 90 mph. It is winter here 12/10/2003 so I can't wait for summer and some serious cruising. I was deciding between this and the 2004 Ninja 250R and the Aprilia won out. It was more racey and exotic looking and I fell in love with it at first sight, even though it was more expensive than the Ninja. One thing for sure is that it is a big time head turner as all eyes seemed to be focused on it at every stop light.
